1/f noise properties of NbN-based tunnel junctions

Abstract(in English) 1/f noise properties in epitaxial NbN/AIN or MgO/NbN junctions on single-crystal MgO(l00) substrates have been investigated. The 1/f noise parameter η greatly decreased with increasing the critical current density J_c for the NbN/AIN/NbN junctions, but η values did not depend on J_c for the NbN/MgO/NbN junctions. The logη-Q^<-1> data could be well fitted with the following equation : logη ∝ aQ^5 /(exp(bQ)-1), where a and b are fitting parameters.
