Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, the Time-Hopping Multipulse Pulse Position Modulation (TH-MPPM) for Ultra Wideband Impulse Radio (UWB-IR) is considered. Moreover, a new frame synchronization method of the TH-MPPM is proposed. In the proposed method, the concatenated sequence which consists of M-sequence and its shifted version is used as transmitted sequence. Each sequence consists of the two spreading codes, that is, an anterior sequence and a posterior sequence. The particular synchronizing sequence is generated by multiplying the anterior sequence and the posterior sequence. In this paper, the data transmission rate and the probability of detection of the particular synchronizing pattern are analyzed. As a result, the data transmission rate of the proposed system is higher than that of the conventional system. It is shown that the probability of detection of the particular synchronizing pattern depends on the signal structure.
