Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) MC-CDMA is a major candidate for the transmission technology of next generation mobile communication systems. Previously, we proposed the SCS-MC-CDMA system that control channels and traffic channels are separated perfectly in the frequency domain. In this paper, we propose a novel timing synchronization method for the common control channels of the SCS-MC-CDMA system. In the method, a base station transmits pulse-like signal by setting pilot symbols at particular phases. Therefore, at a receiver side, we can establish timing synchronization by just detecting the received signal level. The proposed method does not need correlation process, so the signal processing cost can be lower compared with a timing synchronization method which uses autocorrelation between GI and the tail part of the following OFDM symbol.
