Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper propose the adaptive downlink modulation scheme using OFDM and MC-CDMA in accordance with channel conditions. In the proposed method, a time frame is divided into two sub-frames, one is for OFDM and the other is for MC-CDMA, and the base station allocates a preferable modulation scheme to each user per each time slot in accordance with their link conditions such as the RSSI (received signal strength indication) level and CINR (Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio). Simulation results show that the mean throughput performance of the proposed system is better than that of the system using OFDM or MC-CDMA only and the proportion of the high-speed users and lower rate users is adjustable.
