Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, a convolutional coding scheme for an M-ary bi-orthogonal spread spectrum communication system is proposed. In the transmitter, information data are mapped in a bi-orthogonal code. The resulting bi-orthogonal code is fed into an encoder and stored. The convolutional encoder produces some bi-orthogonal codes which should be transmitted, by multiplying some bi-orthogonal codes together, which have already been stored in the encoder, in chip by chip. M-ary spread spectrum communication systems using the proposed convolutional coding scheme with the bi-orthogonal codes outperforms that with the orthogonal codes in terms of the bit error rate performance. The bit error rate performance improves by increasing the number of the bi-orthogonal codes on the proposed convolutional coding scheme.
