Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The new IEEE standards of wireless LAN security and network technologies used in the standards are shown in this paper. The problem of WEP encryption discussed in the recent years are summarized, and TKIP technology and AES encryption for the next standard IEEE 802.11i are shown. For authentication, authorization, and accounting of wireless LAN client, IEEE 802.1X port-based network access control will be adopted in IEEE 802.11i. We explain EAP, RADIUS technologies, which gives the foundation for IEEE 802.1X. Finally, we show an example of management and operation of a wireless LAN environment using these technologies and point out some problems and prospects.
