Service-oriented robust processing method on autonomous system management

Abstract(in English) In order to improve system dependability, self-management and robustness to the application level failure such as software's bugs and administrator operation mistakes are important. For these problems, we propose service-oriented fault tolerant framework which involves policy based system management with priority control and robust application processing method. In our experimental system, various fault recovery actions such as process restart, OS restart, machine reset and restoration are carried out according to the detected fault and the dynamic rules which define fault recovery actions. We have confirmed such autonomous recovery system behaviors.
