Abstract(in English) | In the video surveillance system with multiple cameras, a transcoder is used to reduce the bitrate of the videos to deliver videos over narrowband networks and to display multiple videos concurrently at a low performance computer. For surveillance use, it is important to switch the videos quickly and without a break visually, that is seamlessly, on emergency. Then we developed the transcoder that can switch videos and their quality seamlessly. This paper presents the novel scheme and the extension of RTSP for controlling the transcoder. The result of experiment showed effectiveness of the method. |
