Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As for TCP streams on very high latency networks, Gigabit Ethernet tends to be unstable in performance. The burst behavior of data transfer might be one cause. In this paper, we propose packet spacing by tuning Inter Packet Gap and "Clustered Packet Spacing" during initial slow start phase in order to control transmission rate with low overhead. We have implemented proposed method on Linux and evaluate the effect and performance improvement.
