Obtaining Interoperability for Instant Messaging and Presence Services : A CPIM Approach

Abstract(in English) Instant Messaging (IM) and Presence services have been accepted as a hub of the Internet real-tune communications applications such as Voice-over-IP and Teleconferencing. In this paper, we argue how the current issues on IM and Presence technology such as interoperability and security has been addressed by the CPIM activity the authors have been involved. It is also discussed that how the issues on the mobile IM and Presence applications are solved based on the CPIM approach.
