A performance evaluation of the QoS network

Abstract(in English) In recent years, applications, such as Video On Demand(VOD) service, with Quality of Service(QoS) requirement, have been emerged on a network. In connection with it, the number of network appliances(routers) with a QoS functionality are also increasing. It is assumed that almost of the internet service providers will use these appliances with QoS capability in order to guarantee the required performance, Service Level Agreement (SLA) in the future. However, these QoS functionalities which routers provide are various, and we may obtain the result which we don't assume. So we measure QoS performance of the networks, such as the Hiroshima Prefectural experiment network (Information Triangle) and the Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan(TAO) JGNv6 network, and show the results and considerations about the measurements.
