Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper focuses on variational image analysis on Riemannian manifolds. Since the sphere is closed Riemannian manifold with the positive constant curvature and no holes, the sphere has similar geometrical properties with a plane, whose curvature is zero. Images observed through a catadioptical system with a conic mirror is transformed to images on the sphere. As application of image analysis on Riemannian manifolds, we develop an accurate algorithm for the computation of optical flow of omni-directional images.
