Abstract(in English)	Though e-mail has grown to be a necessary communication tool, there are few e-mail tools for aged persons. It is difficult for aged persons to input characters using a keyboard, so we chose to use pen interface on a tablet PC. We carried out an experiment to observe how aged persons use pen interface. Then we knew that ink writing function was efficient but character recognition function was not efficient. Therefore, we designed e-mail software which sent handwritten letter as an attached graphic file. On this paper, we report the experiment and interface design of the e-mail software on tablet PC.
