Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we investigated the development of the model for path selection behavior by the introduction of a personality parameter. In the human behavioral experiment, a moving obstacle was displayed in an immersive virtual reality system. Subjects were required to walk from a start point to a goal point in the virtual space and their walking trajectories were measured. The personality parameter was estimated for each of the subjects using the model for path selection behavior, which was suggested by authors [1]. These estimated parameters highly correlated with some of personality factors which were acquired from personality questionnaire. These results indicates that the personality profiles obtained by the personality questionnaire closely relate with the path selection behavior, and are expected to be useful to predict the individual behavior.
