Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a novel handwriting interface for the visually impaired in wearable computing environment. As an alternative to the existing stylus and tablet device, two types of handwriting input devices for wearable computing are newly developed; a wireless touch pad and a strain pen. Prototype systems serving as a front-end processor of character input are developed using the wearable handwriting devices. Preliminary experiments show that the touch pad works better than the tablet pen and the strain pen. |
