Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are submerged in a flood of various sounds. In addition, many kinds of sounds increasing in this age of information technology. In this time, it is very difficult to get the information of sound in the house, for the aged or hearing impaired persons. Consequently, they cause inconvenience. As a matter of course, we can see a few system for the handy capped persons. However, such support systems are rarely to be met with, and the system has not adequate performance. This report proposed a sound identification system, which can identify automatically for important sound in the house (we call it "living sound"). The proposed system was adopted an advance registration method. In other words, The characteristics of target sound signal pre-registries to the system memory. In the system, signal power, FFT frequency spectrum and LPC spectral envelope are used for characteristics of signals. As an identification experimental results, the proposed system was performed over 99% identification score for thirteen kinds of living sound.
