Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the present job, we developed a Cyber Music Instrument (CMI) that can be played easily by elderly people. The CMI consists of a 3-dimension (3D) camera, a personal computer (PC), a score display device, and two loudspeakers activated by the PC via a MIDI device. As display device, both a projector and a tactile screen can be used. In the case of the projector, the CMI can be utilized for rehabilitation purposes. The tactile screen allows elderly people to experience the playful of performing music. We carried out performance experiments that showed the usefulness of the score display system.
