| Abstract(in English) | We have constructed a communication system supporting welfare volunteer for local community at Kainan-town, Tokushima, under a project of TAO (Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan). Our system consists of three sub-systems: 1) Staff arrangement system to collect volunteer's schedules and to call adequate volunteers in sequence in order to ask whether he or she can serve requests from clients, 2) Information registration system to register volunteer activity, 3) Information distribution system to distribute volunteer information in multicast fashion,. The system was operated in practice from May 2001. Through the operation, we have investigated the availability of the system. In this paper, we explain the outline of the project and the three sub-systems, and discuss the issue of the system based on the results of the experiment. |
