| 抄録(和) | 本稿では、音声認識を利用した2つのリアルタイム字幕制作システムを紹介する。1つは、ニュース番組を対象とした字幕制作システムである。このシステムでは、番組中のアナウンサーの声をリアルタイムで認識し、認識結果中の認識誤りを即座に人手で修正して、字幕原稿を制作する。もう1つは、バラエティ番組やスポーツ中継を対象とした字幕制作システムである。こちらでは、番組中の音声を直接認識するのではなく、リスピークと呼ばれる方式をベースとしている。NHKでは、ニュース用字幕制作システムを利用して、2000年3月27日から、毎日ニュース番組の字幕放送を実施している。また、リスピークに基づくシステムを用いて、2001年12月31日の紅白歌合戦、2002年2月のソルトレークシティオリンピックなどの字幕放送を実施した。 |
| 抄録(英) | This paper introduces two simultaneous subtitling systems using speech recognition technology. One is a system for broadcast news programs which recognizes announcers' speech in the news program and consists of a broadcast news speech transcription system and a recognition-error correction system. In the system, speech recognition errors are corrected manually with short delay time in order to implement error-free simultaneous subtitled broadcasting. The other is a system for live variety program and live sports broadcasting. This system, which uses re-speak method, recognizes re-spoken speech in the studio, instead of speech in the program, to handle high levels of background noise and spontaneity in the speaking style. NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) started simultaneous subtitled broadcasting for the news program, "News 7", on March 27, 2000 using the former system and simultaneous subtitled broadcasting for "Kohaku Utagassen" on December 31, 2001 using the latter system. The latter system was also used for subtitled broadcasting of the Winter Olympic Games from Salt Lake City in February 2002. |
