Business Model and Marketing Strategy for Trade and Finance EDI

Abstract(in English) This paper discusses analyzing bolero.net business model, marketing strategy and issues for widespread of trade and financial EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), its solution by facilitating gateway server, cost performance of introducing such a system, and issues after proliferation of bolero.net services. The system infrastructure of bolero.net is based on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), which facilitates authentication of participant companies among bolero.net community and secure communication on the Internet. Farther more, in order to validate weather the system is efficient for real operation of trade and finance or not, a sequence of operation ranging from contract to settlement was examined how efficiently electronic processing using the system lessens paper-based operation cost. As a result, we found the load of manual-based documentation of B/L and its attached documents was improved. Additionally the initial cost of introducing the system will be recovered in a reasonable term. Finally continuous utilization after widespread of the system requires a guarantee system of PM in future.
