Abstract(in English) Broadcasting system based on home servers will be able to offer new broadcasting services that seamlessly incorporate broadcasts, stored contents, and broadband contents. These services include advanced viewing styles such as the highlights viewing through the use of program-related information called metadata. This paper discusses metadata technology which is required to realize broadcasting system based on home servers and outlines the development of a BML browser, compatible with the new broadcasting, and a location resolution method of content without being conscious of transmission media such as broadcasting, a broadband, and a storage media.
