Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The S-Band Mobile Satellite Broadcasting Service is one of the most attractive measures for the mobile broadcasting reception and will begin in Japan this year. A receiver chip set for the S-Band Mobile Satellite Broadcasting System has been developed. The chip set consists of two kinds of tuner LSI chips, the demodulator LSI, the conditional access LSI and the Audio-Visual decoder LSI. Both the outline and the main characteristics of these LSI chips are described. The measured BER performance test results are mentioned and the prototype portable receiver using the chip set is also shown.
