Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Software defined radio is considered to be an important technology for the multi-mode terminals for digital broadcasting and mobile communications. We developed a modulator/demodulator prototype using software defined radio technology. The prototype can be used as a digital terrestrial broadcasting receiver and a mobile communication terminal by loading the modulation/demodulation software. This report gives an overview of the prototype and its functions and also discusses the method and procedure to switch its broadcasting and communication protocols by loading their modulation/demodulation software.
