Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report briefly presents the integration of QoS provisioning with mobility management including architectural frameworks necessary to support QoS requirements for seamless session handovers. The operations encompass : Call Setup and Handover, Air link resource allocation based on network resources (air and wired) availability, Network statistics collection as well as traffic policing and shaping distributed along routers in the core and edges according to user profiles (by using utility functions). By doing so, QoS provisioning can be realized with some advance during call setup while mobility mechanisms are being handled by a Session Controller. This report shows the architecture of this QoS provisioning system, explains the signaling, and evaluates the performance by simulation result.
