Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we compare between MC-CDMA (Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access) system and cycli-cally prefixed (CP) DS(Direct Sequence)-CDMA system in an uplink channel in terms of PAPR (Peak to Power Average Ratio). For the comparison, we also discuss multi-user detection techniques, which recover code orthogonality among users destroyed by frequency-selective fading in frequency domain. Taking into account the PAPR, this paper focuses on resolution of D/A converter at the transmitter and A/D converter at the receiver for the two systems. Then, the performance of the two systems is evaluated by computer simulations. From the results, it is found that the CP-DS-CDMA system can keep the performance even in lower resolution bits of the converters.
