Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Efficient media access protocols in multihop radio networks are important techniques. In this paper, channel reservation techniques adding both channel resevation data and channel priority data to RTS/CTS (Request To Send/Clear To Send) packets are proposed. Making reference on the received RTS/CTS packets, terminals decide which channel they use for next transmission. If some terminals select the same channel, a high-priority terminal use the channel preferentially. Computer simulation results show that the proposed channel selecting technique decreases co-channel interference and improves network throughput.
