Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The performance of 2.4GHz-band wireless LAN systems is degraded by mutual interference under Bluetooth coexistence environment. IEEE802.11b standard supports multiple rates transmission and fragmentation which can reduce the degradation of performance under the influence of noise and/or interference. It is possible to reduce the degradation of performance under Bluetooth interference by using these techniques individually and more improvement is expected by using both techniques. In this paper, we propose a technique of selecting transmission rate and data length of fragmentation every packet according to propagation condition in order to avoid the performance degraded by Bluetooth interference. Numerical results conclude that the performance of 2.4GHz-band wireless LAN system is improved by using the proposed system.
