Abstract(in English) | Accurate channel estimation is necessary for coherent detection and adaptive control techniques, e.g., adaptive modulation and demodulation, of multicarrier signals. In this paper, we study one-dimensional channel estimation in frequency- or time-domain and 2-dimensional channel estimation in time-frequency domain. It is shown that the frequency (time)-domain interpolation channel estimation is equivalent to one-dimensional filtering of the delay time-domain impulse response (Doppler frequency-domain spectrum) obtained by one-dimensional DFT. Furthermore, it is shown that two-dimensional interpolation filtering is equivalent to two-dimensional filtering of two-dimensional spectrum in time delay-Doppler frequency domain obtained by two-dimensional DFT. |
