| Abstract(in English) | Orthogornal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signals have high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio(PAPR) that results in nonlinear distortion at a High Power Amplifier (HPA), the degration of the bit error rate (BER), and the out-of-band radiation. As techniques for reducing PAPR, Clipping, Companding, and Continuous-Piecewise-Scales Transformation (CPST) have been proposed. Though Clipping can reduce PAPR with the simple devices, it causes the large degration of the BER and the out-of-band radiation. Companding with A-law and μ-law and CPST with piecewise-scales function can reduce PAPR. These techniques use the nonliner functions that result in the out-of-band radiation. Accordingly, after transformation, these techniques need to suppress the out-of-band radiation. In [1] the nonlinear functions are optimized based on the required BER so that the Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF) is improved when the linear amplifier is used. In this report the nonlinear functions are optimized based on the requred Power Spectral Density (PSD) so that the BER is improved when the nonlinear amplifiers are used. |
