Abstract(in English) | This report proposes a new ML detector for OFDM/SDM targeting high-rate wireless LANs over 100Mbit/s. The proposed scheme employs a reduced dimension technique in order to decrease the number of signal points to be searched, before MLD signal processing. It is shown that the proposed scheme achieves negligible degradation in terms of required E_b/N_0in two-by-two SDM transmission, comparing to a brute-force MLD scheme. In addition, the proposed scheme also suppresses the required Eb/N_0 degradation by approximately 1.5dB in three-by-three SDM transmission, where RMS delay spread = 50ns and PER=10^<-2>. |
