Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report proposes a novel signal detection scheme that combines Zero-Forcing (ZF) detection and Maximum Likelihood detection (MLD) for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing with Space Division Multiplexing (OFDM/SDM) systems. Although MLD is known as an optimal scheme bases on the criterion of minimizing the probability of detection error, it suffers exponential complexity against number of transmit antennas or/and constellation size. We attempt to reduce the complexity of MLD by combining it with ZF. The effect of the proposal is evaluated by computer simulation with parameters taken from IEEE802.11a. For an OFDM/SDM system in 64QAM mode with three transmit and receive antennas, we confirma significant improvement from ZF and a relative slight penalty compared to MLD.
