Progress and Future of Mobile Multimedia Network

Abstract(in English) Mobile networks have grown up to the third generation in the past more than two decades, and still are evolving. In particular, thanks to the digitalization over radio in the second generation system, mobile networks has played as an important infrastructure to provide the diversified multi-media services; non-voice services such as G3 FAX and modem., Internet access services, location information services. The third generation system with higher radio makes it easy to deliver the video-based contents, and results in offering some advanced multimedia services such as video-phone and video-mail Currently, extensive researches and developments are carried out to offer services seamlessly across the different radio access systems and/or different terminal devices, and ubiquitously to any mobile entities except human-beings. This presentation^ first outlines the ^ progress of mobile network to sustain the mobile multimedia services, and views the mobile networking techniques for the seamless/ubiquitous environment.
