Abstract(in English) | In ad hoc networks, battery power is an important resource, since most of terminals are battery powered. IEEE802.11 has the power saving mechanism (PSM) in Distributed Coordination Function(DCF). In PSM for DCF, nodes have to stay awake during a fixed time, called ATIM window. If nodes do not have data to send, they go to doze state except for during ATIM window. However, ad hoc networks in PSM have larger latency to deliver packets and lower throughput than normal IEEE802.11. Therefore, this paper proposes a protocol that reduces latency and achieve high throughput and energy efficiency. Simulation results show that our proposal has better performance about throughput, latency and energy efficiency. |
