| Abstract(in English) | We have previously proposed a hierarchical interference canceller for SDM (Space Division Multiplexing)-COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), which generates interference replicas byre-encoding and re-modulating symbols through a multiplicative canceller that multiplies the inverse propagation coefficient matrix by received signals, and subtracts interference replicas from received symbols and weights the symbols by the propagation coefficient and combines them to obtain diversity gain. However, diversity gain of the hierarchical interference canceller proposed previously is small because inadequate interference replica s are generated due to decision error. To address this problem, we propose a new hierarchical interference canceller that employs error detectors and selectors to improve the degradation due to erroneous replicas. In using computer simulation to evaluate the new canceller, we find that for a 64QAM modulation scheme and a 3/4 coding rate, its PER performance is 1.3 dB less than that of the conventional case at PER=10^<-2>. |
