Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Radio signal processing for mobile communications grows more complicated in order to realize high speed and highly reliable transmission systems. This report describes a digital simulator that is made as a platform for studying, developing and evaluating proposed processing in mobile radio technology. First, the hardware and the software configurations are discussed, and we give the outline of the developed software modules simulating propagation environments, and the single carrier and multi-carrier transmission systems. Next, OFDM is chosen as one of the multi-carrier transmission systems to install in the simulator, and parameters and module functions of the simulator are considered. Especially, an implementation of the adaptive equalizer for OFDM and its experiment results are described in detail. The equalizer operates properly even under the condition that delay deference is greater than the guard interval. From the observation results of processing speed of the software modules, the transmission speed to realize the adaptive equalizer with multi-DSP is estimated.
