Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the mobile communication environment is widely spread. In such an environment, it is pointed that the TCP communication throughput is degraded by the pACKet losses caused by transmission errors in wireless links and handoff during terminal moving. There are a lot of researches for this problem, but most of them only focus on either the pACKet losses caused by transmission errors or those caused by the handoff during terminal moving. Additionally, they do not take account of the coordination with Mobile IP procedures that is the basic protocol in the mobile internet environment. In this paper, we propose a high speed TCP communication procedure dealing with pACKet losses related to bath handoff and transmission errors in wireless links for data transfer from fixed hosts to mobile terminals associated Mobile IP. This paper describes the detail of our proposal.
