Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper performs scalability evaluation of the mobility management function of IP-based IMT network Platform (IP^2) which is next generation IP-based mobile network architecture. Control message amount and handover processing delay are estimated by using large-scale network and traffic models. Estimation based on a mobility management distribution model shows that the large-scale mobile network can be implemented with 22 units of commercially available servers. These results show that this architecture is scalable enough to accommodate next generation network traffic.
