Handover management based on forwarding router discovery scheme

Abstract(in English) One of the main issues of Mobile IPv6 is handover latency that causes service disruption time. Although plenty of proposals significantly reduce the service disruption time, they suffer from redundant routing that causes network resource consumption, signaling delay, and packet misordering. In this paper, we propose a new scheme to minimize the redundant routing in handover between domains by utilizing forwarding routers. Our proposal consists of handover scheme with forwarding router and forwarding router discovery scheme. In evaluation, we evaluate our proposed scheme in the view of packet misordering, and finally, we clarify the efficiency of our proposed scheme.
