Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Internet application of end users had been changing with advent of broadband networks and high-performance PCs. Especially, Peer-to-Peer applications rapidly increase their users, and much more consume network resources than that of the previous Internet applications. Therefore, we should estimate the effect of Peer-to-Peer traffic in order to construct a network and manage it appropriately. However, recent some Peer-to-Peer applications do not keep their own service port number not to be identified their services. This fact makes difficult to identify these Peer-to-Peer application. To solve the problem, we have developed an identification method of Winny traffic, the most popular Peer-to-Peer application in Japan, and analyzed their traffic characteristics.
