Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the development and spread of wireless communication technologies, interest in ad hoc networks has increased. In the ad hoc networks, mobile stations communicate with each other without relying on a network infrastructure by autonomous distributed control. When the conventional TCP is adapted to the ad hoc networks, the throughput decreases extremely because the TCP does not consider propagation loss and mobility related to the mobile environment. We propose a novel transmission mechanism with flooding ACK to improve the TCP throughput and evaluate the proposed method by computer simulation.
