A Study of Access Control and Accounting for IP Multicast

Abstract(in English) In IP multicast, a delivery source seems to be virtually in a user edge router that is the last point to copy multicast packets for end users. So that means an original source can not recognize end users, then it is difficult that a Content Service Provider gets engaged user access control and accounting in case that Network Service Provider and Content Service Providers are different entity and they are connected by open interfaces. This paper shows requirements and methods for IP multicast access control and accounting for an open content delivery network. In the result, this provides the MLDA solution is adequate for the open content delivery network.
