Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, broadband subscriber lines of IP network like ADSL, FTTH are rapidly spread. These will increase requirements for a transmission of multimedia data, especially, on-demand contents delivery services. The block-based fast transmission scheme, which is one of typical stored video delivery schemes, is reasonable in terms of its bandwidth efficiency and tolerance to the delay jitter, etc. However, it needs the scheme for guaranteeing the content quality because TCP cannot be used for current IP Multicast. Thus, we improve our proposed high quality video multicasting scheme from the viewpoint of the priority and the local recovery. Besides, we evaluate the basic scheme and the improved scheme through computer simulation.
