Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Layered multicasting using the layer-coded content has proposed to deliver a video streaming content to users at the rate of various access line bandwidth such as ADSL, FTTH, and wireless LAN. In this paper, we proposed the rate control system (multi-rate filtering) for optimizing a distribution rate according to some policy which controls the number of transmission layers of contents for every user. We compared the quality of the video distributed by the proposal system with the one distributed by the priority control system, and show the validity of a proposal system by quantitive evaluation.
