Abstract(in English) In the Internet, in order to effectively handle the distributed computing in which a large scale job is divided into many tasks and they are executed among many computers, it is necessary to consider various network characteristics. For example, in the case of the task execution with the large scale data transmission, the critical performance degradation may occur without considering bandwidth reservation and/or network latency. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the effect of various network characteristics on the performance of distributed computing, and declare the network characteristics which should be considered to achieve the effective task execution. More specifically, we investigate the performance of electromagnetic and structural coupled problem as a distributed computing application in the network environment with various characteristics (i.e., network latency and bandwidth), and declare the effect of network characteristics.
