Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a remote-control architecture for networked home appliances with the Internet. In the proposed technique, we use Web Application Server called ASP(Application Service Provider) on the Internet and an unit called HGW(Home Gateway) on the home network. Using ASP and HGW, we can dynamically select a suitable access method applied to various network environment and can also keep security, access restrictions and user authentication, etc. As an application example, we show a remote-control architecture for ECHONET^ -enabled white appliance. And we discuss the advantage of this architecture by comparing with other remote-control architectures.
