Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Satellite communication has delay allocation at the beginning of communication. For improving this delay-overhead, we proposed a method of 'Standby Bandwidth'. Standby Bandwidth is a bandwidth that any transmitting stations can use without waiting for an allocation notification. Therefore, a transmitting station can communicate with a receiving station by this bandwidth at once. But this bandwidth decrease in proportion to increase transmitting station, and the characteristic of this decrease hasn't been made clear. In this report, we make clear this characteristic using approximate analysis. First, we establish analysis of 'probability of loss' using 'M/M/S/S Queuing Theory'. Second, we compare the analysis results with simulation results, and inspect that this approximate analysis is valid. Lastly, we present the effective application range of the Standby Bandwidth method using a formula of loss probability.
