Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Real-time communications such as video phone and VoIP with wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11) are expected to realize in public hotspots. In order to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS) of those communications with EDCA which is prescribed in IEEE802.lie, admission control method is required to limit the traffic for wireless access. In this paper, we propose AP-RMS (Access Point-Resource Management Server) which performs admission control to realize high-quality wireless LAN real-time communications with EDCA in public network. Since this server manages currently connected user, codec and bandwidth of high priority class (voice and video), bandwidth in wireless access can be allocated fairly to all real-time communication users. Therefore our proposal is allowed to realize stable real-time communications, and wireless bandwidths cannot be allocated by a malicious specific user.
