Abstract(in English) The Photonic Internet Forum (PIF), established in 2001 (http://www.scat.or.jp/photonic/), is a non-profit consortium with members drawn from industry and academia and with the raison d'etre of contributing to the progress of info-communications technology both domestically and internationally. In this talk, the photonic networking experiments in CRL Keihanna Open Laboratory, organized by the PIF in collaboration with the Research Promotion Council of CRL Keihanna Open Laboratory is reported. The R&D challenges for the futuristic photonic network, of which report has been recently completed by the PIF, will also be presented.
