Abstract(in English) The carrier network needs high capacity and easy operation to meet both user/application requirements and great reduction of the cost. In this report, we introduce an upgrade method from current lOGbit/s/ch network to partially installed 40Gbit/s/ch network, employing an OADM. We have developed a 40Gbit/s Line Terminating Multiplexer, and also estimated the applicability of our 40G deploying method to the field.
