Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we study a mehod to detect degradation of TCP performance on the link which aggregates many user access links. Authors have studied the bandwidth management method for the link, where we measure the number of TCP flows and the link utlization ratio and judge whether the TCP performance is degraded or not by the relationship between the two measured values. We propose a method to estimate the performance degradation where the measurement of the number of flows is not required and the performance degradation is detected based on the variance of utlization ratio. We evaluated the method through simulations.
